As General Manager of the National Fund for Research and Innovation for Development (FONRID), I am delighted to welcome you to our new website. Dear web surfer, FONRID was created in response to the Government’s desire to provide the research and innovation sector with a secure funding framework, so that it can play an important role in the development of Burkina Faso. After ten years of existence, we have decided to undergo an IT transformation. Using the multimedia means of communication offered by the Internet, we want to get closer to you (researchers, teacher-researchers, students, inventors, innovators, economic operators, etc.) to make FONRID better known and bring its services closer to you, the users. As part of this approach, our website has been redesigned to incorporate the latest communication tools.
Our new website is designed to be more dynamic and practical. Not only does it enable you to follow FONRID news on a daily basis, but also, and above all, to be informed in real time, via the website-mails link, of the calls for projects that the fund will be launching. What’s more, the new site lets you post projects online, without leaving the site. A dynamic, interactive forum will enable you to respond promptly to requests for information. Last but not least, you’ll be able to follow our radio and TV broadcasts and documentaries posted on YouTube.
